The cloth size depends on the table, so it is easiest to add linens in the same order as your tables. Spandex covers give cocktail tables a fitted look that does not blow around in an afternoon breeze. Book linens at least two weeks out; late orders may not find every size in stock.

Planning a party in Carlsbad: permits and park rules
Carlsbad's fire department and parks staff each have rules that can affect your rental order, and a few minutes with them now can save a reshuffle later.
When a tent needs a fire permit
Carlsbad Fire Department requires a tent permit above 400 sq ft when the structure has one or more sidewalls, or above 700 sq ft when it is canopy only with no sidewalls. Tents or canopies set less than 12 ft apart are added together. A 20x30 (600 sq ft) with walls needs a permit, the same tent left open does not, and a 20x40 (800 sq ft) needs one either way.
Apply at least 14 days before the event through Fire & Life Safety at 442-339-2731. The fee follows the city fee schedule and varies by number of tents.
Inflatables and generators in parks
For park rentals, inflatable jumps must come from a city-approved vendor, can be no larger than 15x15 ft, and cannot have water features. Generators for jumps must be rented from the approved vendor, and no generators are allowed at Hidden Canyon Park. The city adds a $20 fee when a park rental includes an inflatable.
Alcohol rules
Drinking alcohol is not allowed on public beaches or the adjacent streets, sidewalks, parking lots and bluff tops. Open containers are also banned at Rotary Park, Holiday Park and Pine Avenue Community Park unless the city grants a special event or park use permit.
