About Tents and Things
Tents and Things is a San Diego party and event rental company founded in 2025 by Selvin Reyes, a tent installer who spent more than four years setting up tents for large party rental companies before starting his own. Today we rent tents, canopies, tables, chairs, linens, games and concession machines across San Diego County.
A party rental company started by a tent installer
Selvin Reyes learned the party rental business from the ground up, raising tents for large rental companies before founding Tents and Things in 2025. That hands-on start shapes how we work: every setup is done in a friendly, professional and safe way, and the crew is held to the same standard Selvin set for himself. We started with a few tables and chairs and grew one event at a time into a full party and event rental company serving all of San Diego County.
What makes Tents and Things different
Four commitments guide every rental we deliver.
Safety comes first
We follow the setup instructions of our tent manufacturer, Aztec Tents, along with San Diego Fire Marshal and State of California regulations. Tents are anchored with 36-inch stakes on grass and concrete blocks on hard surfaces, and we are fully insured.
Clean, commercial-grade equipment
A dedicated full-time cleaning crew cleans every item after each rental, so it arrives at your event in like-new condition. We replace our rental equipment every two to three years to keep it fresh.
Rentals for every kind of event
We serve weddings, ceremonies, church events and corporate parties, plus backyard birthdays and kids parties with giant lawn games, carnival games and concession machines.

Every rental includes up to 24 hours of use at the quoted price.
Delivery and pickup
We deliver and pick up everything. Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your address.
Tent setup included
Our crew sets up and takes down every tent. Table and chair setup is available as a paid add-on.
Raincheck policy
If you need to cancel, your deposit becomes a raincheck good for one year.

Booking your party
Book online any time for the fastest confirmation. If you would rather talk it through, call, text or email us and we will help you choose the right tent and rentals for your event.
Payment methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Schools and churches can also pay by check or purchase order.
Delivery and pickup
For residential events we typically deliver between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and pick up after your event ends. For public or non-residential events, we coordinate with you so someone is on site for drop-off and pickup.
Cancellations and refunds
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we issue a raincheck for your deposit that is good for one year. If weather makes an event unsafe, we may cancel the rental and will either refund you in full or let you choose another date. Items canceled on the day of delivery are non-refundable and are charged at 100%.
