Event power rental FAQs
Do I need a permit to use a generator at a San Diego park?
Most parks and public spaces in San Diego and nearby areas require a permit for generators. Tents and Things is insured and park approved and can help if you have questions while taking out your permit.
Do I need a generator or an extension cord?
If a standard outlet is within 100 feet of your setup, a 100ft extension cord is usually enough. If there is no power nearby, rent the generator. When in doubt, a generator is the safer choice.
How long will the generator run?
Up to 18 hours, depending on whether it runs a high, medium or low load.
