Tent Rentals in Santee
Santee tent rentals begin at $500 for a 20×20 high peak tent, and our crew handles delivery, setup and takedown on every order. That 20×20 seats about 33 guests at round tables, the 20×30 at $750 seats around 50, and the 20×40 seats roughly 66.
Before you book, find a level spot. A 20×20 needs a flat 25×25 ft area, which can be hard to find on hillside lots near Sky Ranch. The local fire department issues operational permits for tents but posts no size cutoff, so call Fire Administration when planning a larger tent.
- Crew setup and takedown are part of the price
- Panorama sidewalls from $50, with clear or cathedral windows
- Ask Fire Administration about permits: 619-258-4100 ext. 207

Canopy Rentals in Santee
For lighter shade in Santee, a 10x10 canopy rents for $70 and a 10x20 for $120. Longer 10x30 and 10x40 frames are also available, and the 10x20 shelters about 16 guests at round tables.
Canopies work well beside a park picnic shelter, over a serving line or across a patio when a full tent is more than you need. City shelter reservations come in two blocks, 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, so match your rental plans to the block you reserve.
- Carnival canopy $100 and carnival booth $150 for game stations

The quickest way to order is a package. A 6ft table with chairs is $30, and a 60-inch round with chairs is $40. Slatted resin chairs suit a wedding ceremony, and Lifetime chairs come in white or black. If you want our crew to place everything, table and chair setup is a paid add-on.

Tablecloth and Linen Rentals
Floor-length tablecloths rent for $25 each and fit our 6ft banquet, 8ft banquet and 60-inch round tables. Spandex covers for standing 33-inch cocktail tables are $20 each.
Linens need at least two weeks of lead time, so order them when you reserve tables rather than in the final week. A cloth that reaches the ground hides table legs and anything stored underneath, which helps a buffet or gift table look finished.

Cornhole and yard pong need a long stretch of level grass, while Jenga and Connect 4 fit on a patio or driveway. Reserve games at least one month before your date. They suit graduation parties and family reunions where guests stay for hours and want something to do between meals.

Concession Machine Rentals in Santee
Popcorn, cotton candy and snow cone machines rent for $100 each in Santee, with supplies for 50 servings included. Extra servings are sold in batches of 50 if your guest count runs higher.
Each machine plugs into one 110V outlet. The city says no electricity is available in any city park or at its picnic shelters, so a park party needs our generator and 100ft cord. A $20 carnival theme table gives the machine a stable, festive base.

Carnival Games for School Fairs and Church Festivals
Carnival games start at $110 for the fish bowl toss or the milk bottle bash, and the carnival ring toss is $125. Prizes are not included, so plan to supply your own.
Three games are enough for a classroom carnival, and pairing each one with a carnival canopy keeps the line shaded. For a fundraiser, staff every booth with one volunteer who collects tickets and hands out prizes. Put a snow cone or popcorn machine nearby and the midway feels complete.

Event Lighting and Generator Rentals in Santee
Our generator rents for $100 in Santee and supplies 3,900 running watts on gasoline, or 3,500 on propane. Depending on load, it runs up to 18 hours, and a 100ft extension cord is $20 for reaching an outlet across the yard.
For evening parties, 25ft string lights are $30 and 30ft globe lights with eight bulbs are $40. Run them along a tent frame, patio cover or fence line. Since city parks have no power, a generator is the only way to run lights or machines at a shelter.

See what our customers say about us
We had the best experience with Tents & Things for our daughter’s first birthday! From the very beginning, they were so easy to work with, responsive, organized, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect.
The rentals were beautiful, clean, and exactly what we envisioned. They arrived on time, set everything up seamlessly, and made the entire process completely stress-free. It was one less thing for us to worry about, which meant so much while planning a big event.
If you’re looking for a company that’s reliable, professional, and truly goes above and beyond, I can’t recommend Tents & Things enough.
Would highly recommend! Good communication both during ordering and day of. On-time delivery and pick-up, very professional.
I had a fantastic experience renting tables and chairs from Tents and Things for a backyard dinner party I hosted. Selvin was incredibly responsive throughout the process, and his prices—including delivery—were very reasonable.
The equipment was in perfect condition, and Selvin was punctual for both delivery and pickup. He went above and beyond by offering to set everything up for me and even brought extra chairs just in case I needed them. I highly recommend Tents and Things for your next event!

Planning a party in Santee: permits and park rules
Santee has its own fire department and a clear set of park rules, so a quick check before you order keeps the day on track.
Tent permits from Santee Fire
The Santee Fire Department lists tents and membrane structures among the operational permits it issues. The city's page does not post a size cutoff, so call before booking a larger high peak tent.
Santee Fire Administration: 619-258-4100 ext. 207, 10601 Magnolia Avenue, Building 5. Call for current fees.
No power in city parks
The City of Santee says no electricity is available in any city park or at its picnic shelters. Popcorn, cotton candy and snow cone machines each need a 110V outlet, so add our generator and a 100ft cord for park events.
Bounce houses and vendors
City park rules allow inflatables and air jumps only in selected park areas and only by permit. The city's park permit form also says entertainment vendors such as bounce houses must be on its approved vendor list.
Community Services: 619-258-4100 ext. 222, 10601 Magnolia Avenue, Building 6.
Beer, wine and shelter times
Beer and wine are allowed in city parks, but liquor is not, and glass or kegs need a permit. Alcohol is not allowed at Mast Park or Town Center Community Park Monday through Friday without a City permit. Picnic shelters are reserved in two blocks, 8:30am to 12:30pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Sloped yards
Homes near Sky Ranch sit on Rattlesnake Mountain, so flat space can be limited. A 20x20 tent needs a level 25x25 ft area; check sizes with the tent calculator.
Popular events we set up
Park shelter birthdays
Picnic shelters are available at eight city parks, including Big Rock, Mast, Shadow Hill and Woodglen Vista. Extra canopies, tables and a generator stretch a shelter booking.
Team banquets and end-of-season parties
Banquet tables, folding chairs and a popcorn machine feed a whole roster after the last game.
Anniversary and engagement dinners
A 20x30 tent with round tables, linens and globe lights turns a backyard into a dinner venue for about 50.
Neighborhood and HOA gatherings
Canopies, cornhole and a snow cone machine give a cul-de-sac or community common area an easy afternoon event.
